The showroom gallery is a dream come true for both David and his wife, Jennifer.

The showroom is a collaborative space with the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center. Together we are redefining the creative and art retail zeitgeist in a town known for its rich artistic heritage.

Ocean Angel is a stunningly seductive piece. David created it as an escape into a fantasy realm where dreams and melody transport you and the ocean wraps you in its embrace. A moonlit beach, a magical sea and a galactic sky all set the stage for his angel to pull you into her dreamy world. The work features a Stratocaster type guitar artistically woodworked and carved into the canvas. Venetian Violin - Luchae

I imagined a story with a violin shaped gondola sailing down the Venetian Grand Canal in Italy. I decided to paint this "violin gondola" the way it would appear if you were looking down from the Rialto Bridge in Venice! Of course, it's complete with the iconic gondolier. The narrative of this work captures the beauty of a Venetian twilight evening that lets the viewer fall into the piece and reveals details over time. Just like the love stories that are kindled in this famed location, the work captures different moods at different times of the day and evokes romance, melody and enjoyment over the years.

This Viewclee features David's iconic Laguna Turtle artwork named "Tortuga Laguna". The Viewclee is David's new artwork line which is a hybrid of the well known Giclee print art format joined with David's visionary technique using transparencies, wood, resin and illumination. The Viewclee can also be made to order featuring any of David's art and can include a personalized engraved message on the circular wooden frame!

Marvelous Hummingbird

Mixed media wall artwork: This artwork is dedicated to the amazing natural beauty and the conservation of the Marvelous Spatuletail Hummingbird. This hummingbird lives in Peru and is an endangered species numbering around 400. Many people have never seen their incredible dual paddle "spatula" tail feathers. I wanted to paint a hummingbird and the rainforest scene for a multi-dimensional tribute to one of my favorite wildlife habitats. We will be donating a portion of the sale of this art to helping these marvelous little birds and exploring ways to bring awareness to conservation efforts. My wife and I look forward to touring their habitat in Peru.

David Michael Vaughn is a Laguna Beach artist who creates in an innovative new style called "Multi-Sensory Fine Art". He makes mixed media artwork with added dimension both physically and conceptually. He also writes and records original musical compositions that sometimes accompany the artwork. These combined art forms have captivating depth and arouse multiple senses.

David explores various passions and artistic skills, reminiscent of a contemporary renaissance man. Inspired by the nature, beauty, and artistic lore of Laguna Beach, he often chooses exotic wood as a central "canvas" that begins the artwork's story. Then, working outwards, David assembles layers of resin which encompass hand painted elements, musical instruments, precious metal leaf, diamond dust accents, wood carved elements, painted film transparencies and lighting.

David is deeply inspired by the artistic community that thrives in Laguna Beach. He creates works with narratives that come from his imagination, his perspectives on the world around us and themes that show the beauty of both romantic love and a love of life. The light and dark balance inherent in the artist's path and viewpoint are central in his artworks' narratives. David's art is visually rich in its combination of mediums. It is initially fascinating and then details evolve to be discovered and enjoyed over time, yielding timeless compositions.

David's wife, Jennifer Vaughn, is his muse, often a model, and always an inspiration in that they share a combined creative passion for the arts and each other. She helps David with the business of their showroom gallery and his art.
